Derrick Hodgson ( Rabbit Splat )

This was my FAVOURITE Derrick Hodgson interpretation I have created. I used 8X10 canvas, acrylic paints, and sharpies to create "Rabbit Splat." Derrick Hodgson has some pretty amazing work and it's been really fun recreating my own version of his work!

Derrick Hodgson Intrepretation. ( Jumbled Fun )

In this piece i used 8x10 canvas, acrylics, and sharpies to create this Derrick Hodgson Intrepretation. I had a lot of fun creating it because I used a lot of colourful pastel shades and fun characters.

Derrick Hodgson Toys Interpretation

Derrick Hodgson used different media to create his art. I am intrepreting his toy/block art. I used wooden blocks and painted them using acrylic paints and sharpie markers.

Quicktime/Flash Derrick Hodgson Interpretation

This is one of my interpretations of Derrick Hodgon's work. He uses mixed media when creating his work and I used flash to create this small clip. There are a few small glitches in this clip due to tweening and dropped frames when converted to quicktime. Sorry for any confusion; i could not upload a .swf file on this site.

Playing around with flash because I LOVE IT!

Squash...Just because...
I was just playing around with flash because I haven't in a long while. I used the font tool to write a random word; in this case squash because it just seemed like a cool word at the time. :) Then i broke the text twice, inserted keyframes and erased little by little each keyframe. When i was done with all that I reversed the keyframes. Next a drew a pencil and synced it with the handwriting. Then Voila! A simple and fun masterpiece :):)!!!!!

Creating my own sketchbook!

My cool spectacular to die for sketchbook
For the cover I combined a cool swirly zebra print and a textured pink scrapbook paper, with a designed plastic sheet covering the top, and finished off with a beautiful stick on G. The inside has a pretty awesome pink and white design which was also scrapbooking paper, and the outside remained the base of the front which is the swirly whirly zebra. Overall i'd have to say I really like the mixture of black, white and pink throughout. I kept it funky and consistent. :)

First test...draw a bunny... so i drew mine...moomoo

This is Moomoo
I used a regular pencil to draw him. I took the knowledge I learned in art fundamentals to complete this task. Very fast flowing lines were used to create somewhat of a gesture drawing.
