Snoctobunny Skate Deck

This is my snoctobunny stake deck, and I chose to have the figures on top of ice cream as a promotional giveaway when you purchase ice cream. I love the blend of all the colours and I think the funkyness came out pretty awesome. I am happy with the result. I love ice cream! I just thought i'd say that :)

Morlock Adventure

The Lion

The lion is my favourite drawing out of the mandatory five animals in this assignment. My favourite animal background drawing that is not required in the five is my desert hare drawing. I think the lion came out very majestic looking and I added my own twist with the curls once again.

Penguins

These are my baby penguins with arctic background. This one is my second favourite of the mandatory animals for this assignment. I like how I found a way to put a lot of penguins in the distance on the ice burgs. I think it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself :)

Bush Baby

This is the Bush Baby with background. I think its a pretty cute creature in a very weird way but never the less I like how this one turned out as well. I also like how I used the trees in the background for the bush babies to sit on.

Squid

This is the ocean background with squid (every background is someone else's besides the desert, mine got chosen to be used for that category :) ) I don't really like squids either but I think it came out pretty well.

Desert Tortoise

This is my desert tortoise for the animal background assignment. I was unclear on what we had to be before so I just did one animal with background(the hare) and I realized that I had to do all the animals on the outline. This is my least favourite because i don't really care for turtles

Snoctobunny: The Story Behind the Creation

A few years ago scientists were bored and decided to see if they could create a super race of animals that could adapt with the changing climate and environments. The animals came out excellent and all was thought to be well. One night the guard forgot to lock one of the animals cages properly. That animal got out and released the rest. The next morning the scientists arrived to see that all of the animals were out of place. Not knowing exactly what species of the super breed mated with who, the animals were placed in there original cages and locked. Three months later the female animals and one asexual animal gave birth to what is now the inhabitants of planet NuZe, which is short for Nuclear Zero. Once the scientists saw such hideous creatures, they knew that such animals would not be accepted or understood in the current society. They rounded up the mutant animals and shipped them off into space. They landed on planet Nuclear Zero and have been breeding with each other ever since. The Snoctobunny is a fuse of a snail, octopus and rabbit. It is one of the more dominant prey since they breed often and produce 20 in a litter. The casualties are large, but the reproduction rate is even greater.

The Snoctobunny's main defences- The Three back spikes are used to deter the enemy from attacking. The Four tentacles are used as a flailing distraction and a method of throwing the enemy far away. The snoctobunny leaves a trail of neon green slime behind that smells very foul and is very slippery. Its three ears allow the snoctobunny hear from all angles so that they know which direction the predator is comming from. Its three eyes are also used to see all around so that it may always be aware of its surroundings. Although the snoctobunny has its many defences, it is very very slow paced and very dim witted which in the end brings this creature to its painful demise.

Snoctobunny Painted

I chose dark brown for the base of the body, then a lighter brown for the head to make it stand out a little more when viewed from straight on. Then i went for a dark purple for the tentacles and a neon kinda green for the suction cups. I also used the purple for the eyeballs and the green for the spikes on the back end and the snail eyes. Each colour had to have four coats which took forever, but I used a blow dryer to make it go a little bit faster, and in the end it was well worth all the time spent. Once all four coats of every colour on every part was on and dry it was time add a little bit of drool. To do this effect I used hot glue like I was told could be used from an example in class. I also really liked the shiny look that I saw on an example in class so since my paint was not glossy i bought a varnish. I tested it out on a spare piece of cooked sculpey and saw that it was fine and did not make the paint run so I used it on my whole character. I really love how it turned out. I think the colours work well together and the shine gives it a lil something extra. I just wish i was a little more steady handed so I could get the paint job perfect.

Snoctobunny Super Sculpey (SIDE)

This is the Snoctobunny from the side. After I made all the revisions, i baked it again for a lesser time frame. Once it cooled off i spray painted it with white primer outside. I put on two coats of primer. Spray paint is quick but it bubbles if you do it too close and its hard to get into the small nooks and crannies. I had to wait a while for it to fully dry before i could begin to paint it with my acrylics.

Snoctobunny Super Sculpey (FRONT)

This is my Snoctobunny after I assembled it and baked it. I used aluminum foil as my base and rounded the sculpey over it. I pretty much followed the sketch except when it came to the mouth. I wanted to go for a more scared stupid look. So this creature has pretty low intelligence and is afraid easily.( just like a real rabbit ) After I baked it the first time I added on whiskers(which fell off and I had to glue back on) and i added some more sculpey to certain areas to round them out more. I also added on some cheeks because his face at this point looked to skeletal.

Snoctobunny Sketch

For my micro toy I decided to fuse a snail, octopus, and rabbit together. This was my sketch that brought all animals/insect together into one. My creature is the prey in this case. The rabbit and snail represent a weaker species, while the octopus symbolizes its defense.

Akon Cd cover

This is my collage for Aviva's class. I used gold and red to represent hip hop and the money symbol since akon sings about money a lot. I chose Akon because I like a lot of his songs and he came to my mind right away. I used a bunch of different textures like fabric, plastic, and craft scrapbook papers. I am pleased with the turn out.

Robo Rabbit Gangsta Ballerina

This is my first 3d illustrator file I created. I started off fooling around with the 3d revolve function, creating a bunch of random stuff. I then put it together and it started to look like a robot. I worked with that idea and then decided to put a dollar sign gold chain on the robot. Then i decided to add a tutu. Everything didn't make much sense so i decided to just roll with it and add some more stuff , so i made it into a rabbit robot gangster ballerina. I like the end result very much. The brick wall with my signature in the background ties in the whole feel of the piece

Chinese Restaurant Menu

This is another quick painting in class assignment. This time we used soy sauce and divided the page into four areas. I chose to do cherry blossoms, bamboo, a panda, and clouds.

Desert Hare

I Decided to do the desert hare because I love rabbits and the hare is pretty much a wild rabbit with longer ears and legs. I tried to keep it realistic with a touch of my own flare, which is the curled whiskers. :)

Belly Dancer Illustration

This is my belly dancer illustration. I used belly dancing as an inspiration because I recently started taking lessons and it has been fun and the colours used are pretty and invigorating. I spent many hours on this project and it was well worth the time spent. =)
