Greek Goddess

This is an illustration of my pretty greek friend Elianna. :) shes been asking me since last semester to illustrate her. & here it is. I like it!

Other Option

So I was thinking to myself... "A business card has to make sense.. A business card basically has to be an extension of your website/blog." SOOOOO therefore I changed around some of the colours since my blog is purple and I would rather be working with a purple concept than an orange and blue concept. I am still pondering. :)

Possible Business Card

This is a possible option for my business card that I will be using for Career Prep class and out of class. There is still revisions that need to be made. I am unsure about the use of colour for certain fonts and I will play around with those colours and sizes until I get something I am satisfied with. As for my logo, I am in love with my rubber chicken. <3 This is my second version so far and there will be many more following this version. I really think the double sided option is a good use of space, however I will see on Tuesday if my teacher feels the same way...

Orange Gummy Bear

I made this orange gummy bear with the use of illustrator. I worked on it for a few hours and I am happy with the results. This gummy bear was not for a school project. Just for fun :)

This is my lovely rubber chicken vector I made for fun. I'm thinking of using it for my business cards but I am still contemplating. It sure screams out Gabby if you ask me.

Snowman

Here is my snowman I created for 3d class... The assignment was to create a snowman but if we wanted full marks then we had add more to it and make it interesting.. so this is a classic Gabby for those who know me. I love food. Hope you like it too :)

Paiton - Photoshop/Illustrator art

This is a portrait for a friend of mine. This is her son Paiton. :) I used a mix of illustrator for the base and photoshop for the shading, highlights and details. I think it has turned out pretty awesome for someone who does not have a ton of experience digital painting. I love it :) !!

Redesigning a website in photoshop!

I was given a very unusable website to completely change into something more useful and relevant to the company it was designed for. The company deals with all kinds of insurance so I researched different insurance websites and found a way to make the site look better. The first picture is that of the photoshop document we were given to work with and the second picture is my redone version with my own design. I think it works well and the teacher was surprised and pleased with all my efforts.

Typography Assignment

For this assignment I had to chose a song with meaningful lyrics and use two elements such as (size and width, weight and typeface) etc to convey the song in a nice way. I chose the song Far Away by Nickleback because it is a song that is special to my boyfriend and I.

BlackBerry Banner Boards

These are my BlackBerry banner boards that are going to be used to create swf files in four different sizes.

This is my square version of the banner and is in the process of completion. The BlackBerry Branding Guide was used to make all decisions on colour, use of font, use of logo, and placement.

Rubber Chicken Soup

This is my still life picture for photography class. I chose to do a rubber chicken in soup because I feel that rubber chickens are a main icon of the comedy world, and I associate rubber chickens with laughter, and happiness. Also chicken soup is an icon for wellness. I love comedy and I wanted this to bring out a bit of humour in a soft beautiful way.

Puma Magazine Ad

This is my puma magazine ad for photography class. I used a pair of my puma shoes that I was saving for summer, and i think the ad came out really nicely! The shoe was shot outside in daylight on a sunny day with a sony dsch1

Phone Spin

I had to clean up the phone, remove any blemishes, make the background white, replace screens, some keypads, and back ends.

Snoctobunny Skate Deck

This is my snoctobunny stake deck, and I chose to have the figures on top of ice cream as a promotional giveaway when you purchase ice cream. I love the blend of all the colours and I think the funkyness came out pretty awesome. I am happy with the result. I love ice cream! I just thought i'd say that :)

The Lion

The lion is my favourite drawing out of the mandatory five animals in this assignment. My favourite animal background drawing that is not required in the five is my desert hare drawing. I think the lion came out very majestic looking and I added my own twist with the curls once again.

Penguins

These are my baby penguins with arctic background. This one is my second favourite of the mandatory animals for this assignment. I like how I found a way to put a lot of penguins in the distance on the ice burgs. I think it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself :)
