Magazine Layouts. Double Page Spreads

This was an exercise utilizing adobe indesign for the first time. I Learned how to create margins, columns and how to add text and images. I googled and looked at magazines for inspiration. I measured 4 different magazines to see typical sizes and use of images and content.

This is the first layout double spread layout I created. I chose to do rubber chickens again because rubber chickens are a classic comedy prop and is a symbol of laughter and happiness.
This particular photo was taken by me in second semester photography class. The content was reworded from the web http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-rubber-chicken.htm

This is the second layout I created. I used a high resolution photograph I found on google images. www.phototravelpages.com
I separated the columns by introduction, Ladies Night, Guys Night, and Couples Night. This layout is about Toronto Nightlife. The content was retrieved from toronto.com
